Hey Harper Shop is seeking a Head of Jewelry Designer. You will be responsible for setting the design vision and strategy of our brand. Integrated on a young and ever-learning team with clear objectives. The applicant must have exceptional attention to detail and commitment to our company’s standards. Availability to answer challenges and flow with common retail sales fluctuations will play an important role.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Full life cycle from Design to Pre-Production
- Alignment of product ranges across all categories
- Proactive strategic thinking in relation to processes, workflow, design and direction of the jewelry collection as a whole.
- To drive innovation in product development, designs and materials
- Product Development to create a collection right assortment.
- Benchmark analysis of competitors and strategic implementation into collections; Intensive and continuing research of trends and innovation and consumer behaviour
- Leading and managing a team of designers
- Ensuring there is cooperation and alignment with all interfaces (e.g. external suppliers, Sales, Brand Management, Operations and Marketing)
- Lead development review, design handoff to factories
- Oversees the maintenance of all standards issued for brand consistency
- Participate during production and development fittings, communicating updated tech packs / specs to factories and following up to make sure adjustments are made in a timely manner
- Develop timelines and follow date requirements
What you will need for the role:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Jewelry design
- Strong skills in Illustrator, PhotoShop and 3D Design
- Experience working with overseas factories and agents
- Keen sense of fashion and trends
- Organisational talent, assertiveness, strong communication skills, very good structuring ability
- Strategic thinking
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment, open minded and team player
- Fluent English skills
- Living or willing to move to Lisbon, Portugal
